Expanding Process

The Expanding Machine stretches sawn honeycomb core strips from the unexpanded state into a regular hexagonal honeycomb structure. This is the final forming process that turns the bonded foil block into an open-cell aluminum honeycomb core. Uniform expansion, accurate tension control, and stable cell opening are important for final core flatness, cell regularity, expanded width, and dimensional consistency before packing or panel production.
